A Mediocre Interrogation of Humankind

There are 7.8 billion people on this planet
7.8 billion people... It can't hold that much shit can it?
I mean really, consider just how much 7.8 billion of a species
who does little more that eat and shit can produce in terms of feces.

What more do we amount to than a number you can't count to?
Are we ever really worth the pain of childbirth?
Aristotle, Hume, Confucius, aren't their answers surely hubris?
It seems to me we'll never be deserving of the Earth.

For what it's worth I guess we have some merits worth a nod.
We're mostly peaceful people when we're praying to our gods.
We tend to make inventions with positive intentions,
But even so I want to know the answer to this question:

I know this isn't something that we want to discuss
but when does any of our shit stop being part of us?
